My hair is gradually looking more normal. But it still doesn't seem to want to grow, dammit! Also, my fringe is growing out and looking all wonky. My mum wants to cut it for me, but no way is she going near my hair. This is getting very irritating...I don't want to spend a fortune just to get my fringe trimmed, but I also don't want to let anyone near my hair until it looks faintly normal. Grr, hairdressers suck.

How To Tell If You'll Get A Bad Haircut

If, when you show the hairdresser a picture of a haircut, she says "so you mean layered?": duh.
If she contorts your head in weird positions that HURT so she can trim it.
If, when she shows you the back she puts the mirror up for 1 second so you don't get a good look at it.
If she blow drys it straight EVEN THOUGH YOU TOLD HER TO BLOW DRY IT CURLY. Hello, earth to Planet Hairdresser?!

I moved a year ago and ever since I've had tons of trouble finding a hairdresser. I've had; a bored girl, a less bored girl, and a french guy named alexander. help!

Note to self: kill that hairdresser

So, here it is, my eagerly anticipated (HA!) hairdressing experience.
OK, this was only the second time I had got my hair cut, as I used to want to grow my hair really long. But then I decided I didn't, so I got a haircut. Surprisingly enough, it was a really good one. But the hairdresser was totally mad. She scared me. She treated me as if I was about five, she didn't seem to be looking at my hair, she was waving the scissors all over the place...really scary. So, I decided I wouldn't go to her again. So, the next time I went, I got another hairdresser. And that was where the horror began. First of all, she didn't even see me with my hair dry. By the time I got to her my hair was wet, and my hair isn't curly when it's wet. So. I showed her a picture I'd found of a really great curly haircut. it was short, just below the chin, with tons of layers. I should have realised something was wrong when she went like: "So, do you mean you want it layered?" To which I replied, "Um. Yes?" So, then, she asked me how short I wanted it. What was going on?! I pointed to the length I wanted it. Then she asked me if I wanted blowdryed with a bit of a curl. Now, the girl in the picture had super mad curly hair like mine. "Um. Yes. I want it blowdryed curly." Now, the last time I went to the hairdresser, I had learned that under harsh lighting and a giant mirror, you begin to see extreme faults with your self. So, this time I'd brought a book. I stuck my nose in the book, since I was sure since I'd shown her a picture she'd get it right. WRONG! She'd blowdryed my hair...

Straight. Yes. Straight. Straight. STRAIGHT!!!
But, still I was sure it would be fine once I washed it...
Right?
When I washed it, my hair which previously had lots of seperate curls and ringlets had bunched together.
I looked like Shirley Temple.
That was two months ago, and I still look like Shirley.
